STUTTER - Reactive Glitch Sequencer for Gameboy - Cartridge - V46
STUTTER, a 4 voice MIDI step sequencer for the Game Boy
Turn a real DMG or Game Boy Color into a pocket groovebox. STUTTER sequences all four sound channels; two pulse, wave, and noise; with 32 patterns chained across a 128-step song arranger.
Every voice gets full sound design: ADSR envelopes, vibrato, tremolo, detune, pitch envelope, portamento, and a tempo-synced arpeggiator up to 1/64.
Hold a button while it plays for live glitch FX; stutter, drone, reverse, beat-loops, half-time, octave jumps, tape-stop/spin-up pitch bends, and four live arpeggios. Sync to your rig over MIDI clock as a slave or master, and keep three battery-backed songs on the cart.
Four voices
Sequence the Game Boy's full sound chip, two pulse channels, the wave channel, and noise, for leads, bass, chip-organ pads, and drums all at once.
16-step patterns, 32 of them
Lay down ideas on a 16-step grid where every step carries its own note and its own instrument, then bank up to 32 patterns to build from.
128-slot song arranger
Chain patterns across a 4×4 grid spanning 8 pages, 128 slots in all; and drop a loop marker anywhere to set the groove running.
Deep per-voice sound design
Shape each voice with a full ADSR envelope, vibrato, tremolo, detune, octave, pan, portamento glide, and a one-shot pitch envelope — no two patches have to sound alike.
Tempo-synced arpeggiator
Per-voice arps that lock to your tempo, from whole notes all the way down to 1/64; choose up, down, bounce, or random, and dial in how many notes it sweeps.
Live glitch performance mode
Hold a button while it plays to mangle the groove on the fly: stutter, drone, reverse, beat-loops, half-time, octave jumps, tape-stop / spin-up pitch bends, and four live arpeggios; instant, hands-on chaos.
MIDI clock sync, in or out
Slave STUTTER to your DAW or hardware over MIDI clock, or make it the master and drive the rest of your gear.
Battery-backed saves (on carts with this ability)
Keep three full songs on the cartridge with custom names, plus an automatic live-save so your work survives a power-off.
Runs on genuine DMG and Game Boy Color, or Game Boy Advance hardware
