MT32-PI (MT-32 Emulator, .sf2) MIDI Hat for Raspberry Pi
Introducing the MT32 ClumsyMIDI "Hat". This add-on connects to a Raspberry Pi to replicate the iconic Roland MT-32. This device not only mimics the MT-32’s signature sound but also supports soundfont emulation for a variety of soundfonts. Experience classic retro audio with this solution, which delivers authentic MT-32 and general MIDI sounds while costing considerably less than the original hardware. It can be easily connected to new or older computers equipped with MIDI out.
Can also play Soundfonts with a MIDI keyboard in fluidsynth mode:
MIDI Channels 1-16 and up to 128 programs
The unit features TRS 3.5 (type A) MIDI input a Midi output, and a DAC with a 3.5mm jack for connecting headphones or speakers. The interface can be configured via the mt32 config file.
